The Why?

What does National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 say?

Students should learn by doing
and not just by reading

".....with the quickly changing employment landscape and global ecosystem, it is becoming increasingly critical that children not only learn, but more importantly learn how to learn. Education thus, must move towards less content, and more towards learning about how to think critically and solve problems, how to be creative and multidisciplinary, and how to innovate, adapt, and absorb new material in novel and changing fields. Pedagogy must evolve to make education more experiential, holistic, integrated, inquiry-driven, discovery-oriented, learner-centered, discussion-based, flexible, and, of course, enjoyable "

National Education Policy 2020 (Pg 4, para 4)

Experiential Learning in Schools

Are schools ready for
experiential learning?

  • Despite recognizing the value of hands-on learning, schools succumb to external pressure for scores and grades.
  • Limited access to alternate learning tools hindering hands-on learning culture.
  • Schools require additional resources for essential infrastructure to support hands-on learning.
  • Such a system would need meritorious faculty with additional training and support from the school
  • The lack of a robust curriculum prioritizing experiential learning is evident.

The Environment Matters

Learning extends beyond books and screens; physical spaces shape how students collaborate, communicate, and solve problems.

CognoSpace builds purpose-built STEM and skill-based environments equipped with models, activity kits, robotics, and tech tools. Here, students collaborate, test ideas, learn from mistakes, and innovate.

The environment becomes part of the
learning experience.

CognoSpace Environment Matters

Why CognoSpace?

An R&D driven approach

CognoSpace continuously develops and refines its curriculum and learning activities through in house research and development. The focus is on creating learning experiences that remain relevant to evolving educational needs, technologies and skill requirements.

Multidisciplinary Learning

Real world problems rarely belong to a single subject. CognoSpace connects Science, Mathematics, Computational Thinking, Robotics, Engineering, Technology, AI, Design Thinking and Life Skills to encourage students to see relationships between different areas of knowledge.

Learning Aligned With Educational Priorities

The programme supports the direction of modern school education through experiential, competency based and skill oriented learning, with alignment to frameworks and priorities including NEP 2020, NCF SE 2023, CBSE Skill Education, Computational Thinking and AI, and Kaushal Bodh.

Our goal is to open up a child's mind to its fullest potential in the budding years so that proper awareness goes into future decision making.

Why CognoSpace

Our Mission

CognoSpace aims to be the bridge between
knowledge and wisdom

CognoSpace is a hands-on education platform that augments what students learn in a typical classroom through interesting experimentation and through
use of latest education technologies

Frequently Asked  Questions

Experiential learning allows students to understand concepts by doing, observing, experimenting and reflecting. It helps connect classroom knowledge with real-world situations while developing practical skills, curiosity, problem-solving and critical thinking.

A STEM Lab provides a structured environment where students can explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through practical activities. It helps students move beyond theoretical learning and apply concepts through experiments, models and projects.

A Composite Skill Lab gives students opportunities to develop collaboration, communication, leadership, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving. Practical projects and collaborative activities help students develop skills that extend beyond textbook learning.

When students build models, conduct experiments and solve practical problems, they can connect concepts with observable outcomes. Hands-on learning helps make abstract ideas more meaningful by giving students opportunities to apply what they learn.

Robotics and AI introduce students to emerging technologies while developing logical thinking, engineering skills, problem-solving and digital skills. CognoSpace includes Robotics & Engineering and AI as part of its technology and skill-development curriculum.

Design Thinking helps students approach problems systematically by understanding a problem, developing ideas, creating prototypes, testing solutions and reflecting on outcomes. The CognoSpace Design Thinking module develops empathy, collaboration, prototyping, critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork and leadership.

Schools can supplement classroom teaching with experiential learning labs, STEM activities, Robotics projects, AI activities, experiments, technology tools and project-based learning. These approaches give students opportunities to explore concepts through practical experiences.

A Composite Skill Lab provides a practical environment where students can develop skills through experimentation, projects, technology and interdisciplinary activities. This approach supports the broader focus on experiential and skill-based learning associated with NEP 2020 Skill Education.

Combining STEM, Robotics and AI helps students understand how different disciplines connect. A single project may involve engineering, electronics, coding, mathematics, automation and AI, giving students a more integrated learning experience.

Schools can encourage innovation through regular hands-on activities, problem-solving projects, Design Thinking, Robotics, STEM experimentation and opportunities for students to develop and present their ideas. An Innovation Lab for schools can provide a dedicated environment for this type of learning.
